Bruce L. Marra, CFA
President & Managing Director

Bruce is a co-founder and President of West Chester Capital Advisors. After serving four years as a Naval officer, he began his career in the investment industry with Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh in 1960 where he worked for twenty-one years. He was head of the Personal Trust Division at Mellon when he left to assume the duties of Chief Investment Officer at Wilmington Trust Company. After five years at Wilmington Trust, he left banking to enter the investment advisory business. Bruce has had broad and varied investment research and portfolio management experience, having managed the pension funds of a number of Fortune 500 companies and the portfolios of several of our country’s wealthiest families. He is a member of the CFA© Institute and a CFA© (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter holder. Bruce is a 1956 honors graduate of Lehigh University and received an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1964.
